Indigenous students may have access to funding through: • OSAP • Indigenous Student Bursary (OSAP) • Ontario Indigenous Travel Grant • Métis Student Bursary Program • Post-Secondary Student Support Program

You can search for applicable scholarships using the Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool which will give you access to 539 bursaries, scholarships and incentives for Indigenous students in Canada. These awards are typically offered by university institutions. Alternatively, you may look into awards offered by the university you are or will be attending!
Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool
Once you receive your acceptance letter, you can alternatively opt to take a student line of credit from a Canadian Bank to finance your medical school education. Canadian banks that offer medical student line of credits: • Scotiabank • CIBC • Bank of Montreal (BMO) • Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) • TD Bank After the completion of your studies, you will have to pay back the loan. Be sure to compare each bank (interest rates, credit limits, grace periods, and payment plans) to pick the best loan for you.
